Professional Advisers
- A local adviser is the first source of advice for families. The adviser has ready access to a range of literature and helps families directly or points them to more specialist agencies. Also, where appropriate, Advisers liaise, support and work with professionals, e.g. those in education, social services, housing, workplace, etc, to ensure families get the services they are eligible to receive.
The local adviser can also contact the specialist adviser (medical and continence), based in the Regional Office for advice and support on medical issues. Service users and professionals can also contact the Regional Adviser for any help they need.
Specialist advice on Education is available to the local adviser via the National Office of ASBAH in Peterborough.
