

Most of our members are drawn from this area but the Association welcomes members from other localities.
Social events are held, including a meal out at least once a year. We also visit an outdoor activity centre where all the family can participate. For more information, see our Activities page.
Surrey ASBAH supports research into medical problems, for example those associated with hydrocephalus and means of overcoming them. Surrey ASBAH helps local people with mobility problems to purchase items such as lightweight wheelchairs and other mobility aids. For more information see Grants below. Grants
Small grants are available to help towards the cost of personal and household items for children and adults with spina bifida or hydrocephalus. Other sources of funding will be looked at before a grant can be considered. Applications should be made via the Adviser who can provide more details about the process.

A membership fee of £10.00 per family is payable on the 1st January each year. This includes the subscription to Link magazine and the Surrey ASBAH Newsletter. Also, members are eligible to join the Committee.
